This book, designed for beginners, is in Chinese Graded Readers: Beginner’s Level of the Chinese Library Series. It tells a story about two little cats: Xiao Hei and Xiao Bai. These two cats are different in personality.

Carol Chen is currently a Chinese teacher at West Island School which is a part of the English Schools Foundation in Hong Kong. She received the degree of Master of Education in Chinese Language Education and has been teaching Chinese for many years in international schools in Hong Kong. She participated in the writing of several textbooks of Chinese as a foreign language, including a GCSE Chinese textbook sponsored by the Faculty of Education of Hong Kong University.

陈琦，现任香港英基西岛中学中文教师，获中学语文教育学专业硕士学位。在香港国际学校教授中文多年，曾参加多项对外汉语教材编写工作，其中包括香港大学教育学院组织的“GCSE中文教材”的编写。出版有《汉语A+》等教材。
