This picture album tells a Chinese fairy tale. When the daughter of Emperor Yan went to play in the East Sea, she was killed in a storm stirred up by the Sea Dragon King. Later she turned herself into a bird called Jingwei, Everyday, Jingwei would carry stones and twigs from the West Mountain and throw them into the East Sea in the hope that, once the sea was filled, it would not be able to hurt anyone else again. The Sea laughed at her effort. Yet Jingwei was determined 'Even if I have to spend a hundred million years to fill the sea, I will do so.' The book is good for children over ten years old.
