Zoom in: Elementary Chinese in 60 Hours - Textbook 1

This new series of textbooks is complied as an update of Mastering Chinese Characters: A Modern Approach (Commercial Press, 2014). Zoom In series includes Elementary Chinese in 60 Hours 1 & 2, Intermediate Chinese in 118 Hours 1 & 2, Advanced Chinese in 337 Hours 1 & 2 with accompanying workbooks. The first 15 lessons are dedicated to character learning while the later lessons include two parts, Part i Combining Characters is about making words or phrases. All characters learned in the first 15 lessons are used to form words and phrases. Part ii Compose Sentences is about using words and phrases to form five sentences. A workbook is also designed to help students memorise Chinese characters and word combinations as well as helping to construct sentences with those words.
