A Dictionary of New Terms and Phrases of Contemporary China

This dictionary consists of 7400 new terms that have appeared in China from 1949 to 1999. The terms included are used in political affairs, economics, cultural and military affairs, science and technology and other areas. The entries in the dictionary are drawn from a wide range of books, newspapers and magazines. They can be words, phrases, abbreviations, colloquial expressions and popular terms. 2800 of them are provided with phrases, and most with examples.
