Annotated Writings by Students of Chinese

This is no ordinary selection of essays but a collection of composition exercises written by international students at the Beijing Languages and Culture University, the 'Little United Nations'. These students, representing over 30 different countries and speaking many different tongues, have come from every corner of the world. In their living, studying and traveling, they have found happiness as well as frustration in this ancient land. Yet after two or three years of study they have succeeded in writing these essays in Chinese-essays that are not only rich and fluent in expression, but also original in approach and full of interesting anecdotes.
