Erya Chinese·The Basics of Chinese Culture (II) is composed of sixteen texts in eight lessons, which shows the uniqueness and diversity of Chinese culture from four aspects: Chinese literature, Chinese art, Chinese life and Chinese ancient education. These eight lessons are: Chinese ancient myths, appreciation of Tang and Song poetry, Chinese folklore, Chinese ancient architecture, Chinese folk music, Chinese tea culture, Chinese medical culture, and Chinese ancient education. A lesson consists of two related texts, each including four parts: text, cultural notes, new words and exercises. The text aims to get big pictures from small details and learn from the past and the present; and the language used, being vivid and concise, strives to go from the easy to the difficult and complicated. Although the cultural notes and new words consist of few words, they are concise and comprehensive. The exercises after class are closely related to the text, with various types of questions provided
Shu Yan, graduated from School of Chinese Language and Literature of Beijing Normal University with her master’s degree in Literature and PhD degree in Law (majoring in Folklore), is now a teacher and Master Supervisor of School of Chinese Studies at Beijing Language and Culture University. Dr. Shu is interested in international education of Chinese language, urban folklore, and cross-cultural communication.
本书是为具有中级汉语水平的学习者编写的一部文化教材,可供在中国高等院校攻读汉语言或汉语国际教育专业的本科留学生于二年级第二学期使用,亦可作为海汉语教师进行中国文化教学的教材以及对中国文化感兴趣的汉语学习者的课外读物。本教材由八课十六篇课文组成,分别从中国文学与传说(*、二、三课)、中国艺术(第四、五、六课)、中国人口生活(第六、七课)、中国古代教育(第八课)等四个方面展示了中国文化的独特性与多样性。本教材的编写遵循了汉语作为第二语言文化教学的系统性、实用性、趣味性、循序渐进性等原则。
舒燕,女,民俗学博士。1991年至今,在北京语言大学汉语学院从事汉语国际教育和文化教学研究工作。2009至2014年,任北京语言大学汉语学院传媒文化系(汉学系)系主任。研究方向:民俗学;汉语国际教育;中外文化比较。
