Looking at My Motherland from Thousands of Miles Far Away

Qiguang Zhao's works can be classified into four categories: study of Taoism, study of comparative literature, study of cross-cultural communication, and philosophy of life. We selected 24 the most representative articles related to China from his former writings into this Looking at My Motherland from Thousands of Miles Far away, in which the two prefaces were written separately by Qizheng Zhao, the former director of The State Council Information Office of the People's Republic of China, now serving as dean of School of Journalism and Communication at Renmin University of China and Mingwei Zhou, the director of China International Publishing Group. The whole book is divided into four chapters: 'A Trip to a Faraway Place,' 'Broad Swords Rattling in the Box of My Study Room,' 'The Dragon in Chinese Myth,' 'An Illustrated New Taoism.' This book introduces Chinese culture to readers at home and abroad in lively and popular words from different aspects, providing them with fresh and deep understanding on Chinese culture.
