ZHU Yong, doctor, professor of School of Chinese Language and Literature, Beijing Foreign Studies University. He was a guest lecturer at Nagoya University of Foreign Studies in Japan, Chinese director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Rome in Italy, and spent one year as a visiting scholar at the University of Iowa in the United States. His main research achievements focus on case studies and teacher development, reading and text grading, and cross-cultural communication. He has published more than 40 papers in journals such as Chinese Teaching In The World and Language Teaching and Linguistic Studies, and more than 10 books and textbooks.
