In form of 'Museum on Book,' this book, one of the six volumes of PNSO Dinosaur Museum series, is specially designed for children! This profound pop-science series includes The Large Carnivorous Dinosaurs, The Medium Carnivorous Dinosaurs, The Small Carnivorous Dinosaurs, The Large Herbivorous Dinosaurs, The Medium Herbivorous Dinosaurs, and The Small Herbivorous Dinosaurs, which respectively depicts a certain dinosaur group or comprehensively analyzes the features of it. The nearly one-meter-long colorful gatefolds elaborately explain dinosaurs from different perspectives in detail, including restoration of dinosaurs, their living environment and life scenes, as well as skeleton restoration, muscle restoration, close-ups, body anatomy, fossil bury sketch, etc. The highly professional content in this series is narrated in simple, understandable, vivid and interesting words, so that children can read it more easily. We hope that what it brings to readers, especially children, is not just scientific knowledge, but the awareness of understanding the world across time and space, the improvement of scientific thinking ability, the cultivation of scientific exploration spirit, and the construction of aesthetic ability.
On June 1, 2010, Mr. ZHAO Chuang, a scientific artist, and Ms. YANG Yang, a science writer for children, launched PNSO Scientific Art Projects Plan: Stories on Earth (2010-2070). The plan follows a tradition of using scientific art to create a narrative. These narratives are based on the latest scientific research, focusing on the complex relationships between species, natural environments, communities, and cultures. The narratives consider the perspectives of human civilization while exploring the Earth's past, present, and future. Currently, PNSO has independently completed or participated in a number of creative and research projects. The organization's work has been shared widely and well received. In collaborations with professional scientists, PNSO has been invited by many key laboratories around the world to create scientific works of art. The organization has always been committed to supporting state-of-the-art scientific explorations. Many works produced by PNSO staff members have been published in leading journals, including Nature, Science, and Cell. In addition, PNSO has held joint exhibitions with global museums, helping young people in different parts of the world to understand and appreciate scientific art.
