Qingsong Yuedu - Elementary Chinese

The book ist compiled for foreign students of elementary Chinese level(mastering basic Chinese vocabulary of about 1500 words) to improve their reading comprehension ability. There are 21 lessons and each lesson consists of text, new words,exercises and special knowledge about China. Each lesson focuses on a central content and includes four to five intertelated short passages of about 2000 words. The texts adopt many forms of dialogue,narration,explanation,indirect speech and argument. The content covers a wide range and the passages are chosen from recently published newspapers,magazines,and websites. The amount of the new words in each lesson is about 30, most of which are Level A and B words listedin the Standard and Outline. All the new words are explained in English, Korean and Japanese.
