The key to all Miyazaki's works is here! This book is a collection of hand-drawn essays by Hayao Miyazaki. Hayao Miyazaki wandered around Tokyo, recording six Showa wooden houses that touched him most, calling them 'homes that My Neighbor Totoro wants to live in': old age, deep houses, messy courtyards, peeling paint... The people inside disliked 'It's really terrible,' and they reluctantly moved away. Because the years have precipitated the taste, the long corridor is connected to the imagination, and the courtyard is filled with the sound of nature. Hayao Miyazaki uses simple white text, vivid brushes, and unique lenses to depict these unfashionable but extremely beautiful 'ideal homes', showing their invisible but unusual preciousness, telling the story of ordinary days. The pulse is gentle. The so-called home is a space where people, houses, and garden plants grow together. The so-called days are the long time we spend with houses, plants, and all living beings.
