Tibet: Land of Mystery

Nowhere on this planet is man nearer to the sun than on the heights of the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China. But while the physical wonders of this region known as the 'roof of the world' may be unique, it is not the hand of nature alone that has given Tibet its unusual charm and attractions. Tibetan history, culture, and religion are just as enchanting and colourful. And it may be this combination of the ingenuity of nature, the art of man, and the vicissitude of history that has endowed the Tibetan people with the strength and fortitude to pursue life and happiness so zealous, fanatically, and unremittingly along a path fraught with difficulties but full of hope.
This album is an endeavour to present through the magic eye of the camera the many facets of a land which, despite all that has been written about it, is still remote, unknown, and mysterious to most of the world.
