Tibet Studies

Tibet, the 'roof of the world.' is a beautiful land with endless chains of mountains and snow-capped peaks. The plateau contains extensive grassland, and is an ideal place for animal husbandry. The Yarlung Tsangpo, Jinsha and Lancang rivers run in the south and east Tibet. The valleys are Tibet's important agricultural districts. Dense forests cover the mountain slopes while fertile fields are at the foot of the mountains. Tibet has unique and magnificent landscapes as well as a brave, wise, diligent and honest people with a long history in China.
Ever since the founding of the Tibetan Academy of Social Sciences, we have edited and published Tibet Studies both in Tibetan and Chinese editions.
