This Book has about 520,000 words. two articles for introduction in frontispiece are wrote by two well-known scholars of ceramic academic in China and the U.S.. It is about the evolution and characteristics of the history of Chinese ceramics, the introduction of the ceramic in the world literature and overview of Chinese ceramics collection worldwide. Main part of the book has eleven chapters, divided into chapters by the leading scholars, who made ceramic analysis with specific anatomy. He teases out carefully the development from the early Chinese ceramics to its maturity in the glorious context of various historical periods ,which is important for the ancient kiln system and the representative ceramic types. This book has made a comprehensive and elaborate illustration in simple terms for different-type ceramics, decorative techniques, firing techniques, identification of skills. The contemplation of the trade and collection of ceramic history and current status has made from the perspective of international cultural exchange between China and the world. With more than 700 pieces pictures in this book, they are all representative of ancient ceramic works, selected from the Chinese mainland and Taiwan, and the United States, Britain, France, Sweden, Iran, Turkey, Japan, Korea and other national cultural organizations.
