Feng Shui is the art of geomancy practised in China for thousands of years. The feng shui compass (Luopan), is the main tool to locate good Qi energy, decide direction, observe and check environmental landscape and locate water. Beyond this, the Luopan is used to calculate auspicious times to perform various tasks, in particular the construction of new buildings and extensions of existing ones. Providing specific detailed information of Luopan, the author hopes readers will gain an understanding of the feng shui compass and what it can reveal.
