Intermediate Chinese - China Panorama

Intermediate Chinese is for students who have completed the Approaching Chinese course. It is also suitable for students with a vocabulary of approximately 1000 words. The complete Intermediate Chinese course consists of 100 lessons, each containing four parts: a text, new vocabulary, notes on grammar and usage, and exercises. All new words, notes and exercise directions are accompanied with English translations. Contents focus on what foreigners will experience while travelling, living or working in China. The text of each lesson takes the form of a dialogue in conversational Chinese from everyday situations, incorporating new words. Notes on grammar and usage are based on the language used in the texts, with concrete examples to explain complicated grammatical patterns. The practice exercises focus on comprehension and repetition so students can master what they have learned through the numerous exercises found in each lesson.
