Jump High: A Systematic Chinese Course - Selected Readings of Classical Chinese II

Jump High is a series of Chinese textbooks for the compulsory courses foreigners take in college, with five vertical skills (intensive reading, conversation, listening, writing, translation) and seven horizontal levels (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) matching with one another. All learners, ranging from total beginners to high-level ones, can find something suitable for themselves. Conversation Textbook 6 is designed for the conversation course in the second semester of the third year in college, including 12 lessons altogether, each with the following parts: Text, Vocabulary, Notes, Communication Tasks and Exercises. There are two unit tests, which can be used in the middle of and at the end of the term respectively. Answers to some exercises and unit tests are provided at the end of the book. The texts and new words are recorded in the CD of MP3 files accompanying the book. The textbook is designed to reinforce the training of style, rhetoric and the issues specific to Chinese oral expressions, striving to help the students communicate orally in accurate, appropriate, rich and vivid Chinese. The 12 topics selected in the textbook include not only the social hot topics like online shopping and microblog, but also the topics that were seldom discussed and slightly professional, such as collection and photography. It also discusses the basic issues about life, with the purpose of hoping to help learners improve their expression skills in a broader scope through enhancing the informativeness and profundity of the topics.
